Ticket on Departure (TOD)

Full list of TOD stations - click here

Where it is possible, customers of Raileasy are encouraged to purchase their tickets on a ticket on departure (TOD) basis. This means you collect your tickets at your convenience anytime before you travel. It saves worries about tickets getting lost in the post or you losing them before you travel. It also means we can sell you tickets right up to 1 hour before the departure of your chosen journey.

Ticket Collection Reference Number

When you make a booking from a TOD departure point, you will be given a 8 digit/letter ticket collection reference number on the confirmation screen after you submit your booking. A copy will also be emailed to you. To collect your tickets, you MUST have the credit/debit card you used to make the booking. You put this into the ticket collection machine for identification purposes only and enter your ticket collection reference number.

TOD Stations

There hundreds of stations on the National Rail network where it is possible to collect the tickets you buy here on raileasy from ticketing machines. The full list of stations can be viewed here. The ticket collection machines are clearly marked but we recommend you try to collect your tickets at least 20 minutes before the departure of your train.

TOD Machines (locations)

If you are booking from a TOD departure station, on the booking screen of raileasy there will be a link enabling you to check the location of the ticket collection machines and opening times of the departure station you have selected.
It is very important that, if you are booking for travel early the following morning, you check the times of the station and ticket hall opening times to ensure the ticket collection machines are available at the time you will be collecting your tickets. It is your responsibility to ensure you can collect your tickets.

Problems

If you have problems with the ticket collection machines, the first thing you should do is go to a ticket window. The staff there will be able to retrieve your tickets but you MUST take your email confirmation or a copy of the confirmation screen.

If there is no one at the ticket office, please call 0871 512 2002. Calls charged at National rate.
